2019

August: Tim, Jan, Gayle, Ian, Felicity & George. “What can we say to show our appreciation for our stay at Chez John? Welcome pack was superb and we all felt most welcome from start to finish. Thank you for the rescue mission during our missing in action period! Everything we needed was catered for in the gite and the pool was lovely with plenty of space to sit and relax.”

2017
September: Margaret & James from Surrey. “A lovely family holiday home from home. Comfortable for 6 but affordable out of high season for just 2 people. We both completely relaxed and enjoyed the welcome pack, peaceful atmosphere in the gite and its beautiful surroundings.”
August: John, Diane, Roger & Elaine from Essex. “A beautiful, comfortable holiday home. Everything has been thoughtfully provided. The welcome pack was amazing! The facilities are geared towards ‘family occupation’ but we four adults enjoyed and made full use of the indoor games and pool toys! Water pistols at dawn (or midnight)!!”

Our holiday was over much too quickly, but we are already planning our return!”

Jan & Nigel were perfect hosts, offering information when required without ever being intrusive. We will definitely revisit.”

August: Steve, Lorna, Victoria & Alice from Northamptonshire. “This gite is an absolute gem and exceeded all of our expectations! Honestly one of the most relaxing holidays we have had as a family. We normally holiday in the Mediterranean and were concerned that being away from the coast could become an issue. Halfway through our stay I asked my teenage daughters which they preferred – answer – Chez John!! Well stocked gite ... more than ample swimming pool ... beautiful lakes with man made beaches within ten minutes drive.”

If you want peace and quiet, the sound of birds, scent of flowers, flickering candles, a glass (or two) of good wine, then look no further this is the place for you. The gite is very comfortable, the private pool is secluded and the gardens delightful. Jan & Nigel are perfect hosts and their attention to detail is amazing. Can’t wait to go back soon.”

You have made us so welcome and the weather has been lovely too. Especially enjoyed the market at Piegut Pluviers and Brantome is a very pretty town. The welcome pack was great too!”

The gite is beautiful and and the photos do not do it justice. We have all had a very relaxing time. Thank you for all your help.” (Their car broke down just south of Paris and they arrived, exhausted, just before midnight!)

June: Clair, Barry, Paula, Owen & Anna from Luton. “There were five of us - myself, husband, sister, father and daughter. The gite proved to be an exceptional find ….. The welcome pack is more and above what anyone would expect …. The garden is really pretty to sit out and have supper in the evenings ….. The pool is marvellous with lots of toys and inflatables for children (and adults) to have fun! ….. The village is a slow, flat 20 minute walk to get your fresh bread for breakfast ….. We will definitely come again next year!”
